L’Alliance pour une r\u00e9volution verte en Afrique (AGRA) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019un grand soutien au d\u00e9veloppement de l’agriculture en Afrique, en particulier le d\u00e9veloppement du secteur priv\u00e9. L’AGRA a touch\u00e9 \u00e0 tous les segments des cha\u00eenes de valeur agricole, y compris la formation des s\u00e9lectionneurs de plantes, le financement des chercheurs pour le d\u00e9veloppement de nouvelles vari\u00e9t\u00e9s performantes, le financement de la gestion de la fertilit\u00e9 du sol, le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s des employ\u00e9s des entreprises semenci\u00e8res et des agro-commer\u00e7ants, des subventions aux entreprises semenci\u00e8res, la gestion de la fertilit\u00e9 des sols, la facilitation de l\u2019acc\u00e8s au financement et au march\u00e9, le d\u00e9veloppement de consortia de semences au Mali, etc. Ces consortia comprenaient les acteurs cl\u00e9s de l\u2019agriculture comme le secteur public, les ONG, les entreprises semenci\u00e8res, les petits, moyens et grands agro transformateurs, les commer\u00e7ants de c\u00e9r\u00e9ales, et les institutions de financement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En ce qui me concerne, vraiment je n\u2019ai pas de mot suffisamment fort pour remercier AGRA pour tous les appuis accord\u00e9s \u00e0 ma personne, \u00e0 mes employ\u00e9s et \u00e0 ma soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Faso Kaba. C\u2019est le lieu de rendre un vibrant hommage \u00e0 toute l\u2019\u00e9quipe AGRA plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment le Dr Joe Devries pour la confiance plac\u00e9e en ma personne. Tous les appuis apport\u00e9s par AGRA ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 donner une grande visibilit\u00e9 et beaucoup d\u2019opportunit\u00e9s pour le d\u00e9veloppement du secteur priv\u00e9 semencier au Mali. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Forum pour la r\u00e9volution Verte en Afrique, \u00e9dition 2017 m\u2019a accord\u00e9 le prix Africain de l\u2019Alimentation en tant que co-laur\u00e9ate du Prof Ruth Oniang\u2019o. Chaque ann\u00e9e, c\u2019est avec un grand plaisir que je participe aux diff\u00e9rents \u00e9v\u00e8nements de l\u2019AGRF et j\u2019en reviens toujours satisfaite. L\u2019\u00e9dition 2022 qui se tient au Rwanda est l\u2019occasion pour moi de remercier encore une fois AGRA, AGRF et leurs partenaires pour le prix 2017. Je f\u00e9licite les laur\u00e9ats du Prix de 2022 et leur souhaite de jouir de toutes les pr\u00e9rogatives qui y sont rattach\u00e9es. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) has been of great support to the development of agriculture in Africa, especially the development of the private sector. AGRA has touched on all segments of agricultural value chains, including training of plant breeders, financing the development of new high-performance varieties, financing soil fertility management, building the capacity of seed company employees and agro-dealers, subsidies to seed companies, management of soil fertility, facilitation of access to finance and to the market, development of seed consortia, etc. These consortia included key actors in agriculture such as the public sector, NGOs, seed companies, small, medium and large agro-processors, grain traders, and financing institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n

I am grateful to AGRA for all the support given to me, my employees and my company Faso Kaba. This is the place to pay a vibrant tribute to the entire AGRA team, more specifically Dr. Joe Devries for the trust bestowed in my person. All the support provided by AGRA has contributed to giving great visibility and many opportunities for the development of the private seed sector in Mali. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forum for the Green Revolution in Africa, AGRF 2017 edition granted me the African Food Prize as co-winner of Professor Ruth Oniang\u2019o. Every year, it is with great pleasure that I participate in the various AGRF events and I always come back satisfied. The 2022 edition being held in Rwanda is an opportunity for me to once again thank AGRA, AGRF organizers, and their partners for the 2017 prize. I congratulate the winners of the 2022 Prize and wish them to enjoy all the prerogatives therein attached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Author<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mme Ma\u00efmouna Sidibe Coulibaly, won the Africa Food Prize in 2017, for her mission to produce and supply improved and high-yielding seed that have led to improved incomes and nutrition for millions in Mali and other West African countries. Through sheer hard work and consistency, she has overcome multiple hurdles to build a leading seed company that is fast becoming a model for Africa\u2019s agri-businesses.\u00a0 Her company, Faso Kaba, specializes in the production and sale of a wide range of improved seeds, including cereals, oil seeds, market gardening, fodder and tuber seeds that can improve agricultural yields by up to 40 per cent.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
